Plans, trial, payment and invoices

What happens when the trial ends, how to choose and pay for a plan by card, bank transfer or PayPal, and where to find your invoices.

Who can do this: Owners and administrators (TenantAdmin role).

The trial

A new company gets a 14-day free trial with no card. A banner at the top counts the days left and links to Settings → Plan & billing.

Every feature is switched on in the trial, with 1 till, 1 store and 3 users, and every plan includes every feature too. Plans differ only in how many tills, stores and users they cover. To see the full list, press "See everything included" on Settings → Plan & billing.

When the trial ends you have a short grace period to choose a plan; the banner says so. After that the company is paused and sign-in is refused. Nothing is deleted, and you can come back by choosing a plan.

Everything you set up during the trial carries over to your plan.

Your plan and its limits

The top of Settings → Plan & billing shows "Your plan", its status (Trial, Active, Past due, Suspended or Cancelled) and its limits: Tills, Stores & warehouses and Users.

Below are the plans, Starter, Growth, Business and Enterprise, with their prices. Switch between "Monthly" and "Yearly (2 months free)". Prices are in the company's base currency, excluding taxes where applicable. A plan without a listed price shows "Let's talk" and a "Contact us to upgrade" link.

If you try to add more tills, stores or users than your plan allows, you see a message pointing you here.

Pay by card

  1. Press the "Choose" button on the plan you want, for example "Choose Growth".
  2. Under "How would you like to pay?" pick "Card (PayHere)". PayHere accepts Visa, Mastercard, Amex and LankaQR.
  3. Press "Continue to PayHere". You pay on PayHere's secure page and come back to Sevo. Your card details never reach Sevo.
  4. The plan updates as soon as PayHere confirms the payment.
  5. A week before the month (or year) ends, the renewal invoice appears on Plan & billing. Press "Pay by card" on it and pay on PayHere's page again; the plan runs on to the end of the next period.

Pay by bank transfer

  1. Press the "Choose" button on the plan you want, pick "Bank transfer" and press "Issue invoice".
  2. Plan & billing now shows the "Invoice to pay" with our bank details. Use "Copy" to copy the account number and the reference.
  3. Transfer the amount at your bank or in your banking app. Put the invoice number as the reference.
  4. Under "Paid? Tell us", enter "Paid on", "Amount paid" and the "Slip or transfer reference". Attach a photo or PDF of the slip with "Attach slip" (up to 5 MB; optional but faster).
  5. Press "I have paid - send notice". A banner says the payment is being checked, usually within one working day. The plan starts when it matches.

Changed your mind before sending the payment notice? Press "Cancel this checkout". The invoice is voided and your plan stays as it is.

Pay with PayPal

  1. Press the "Choose" button on the plan you want.
  2. Under "How would you like to pay?" pick "PayPal". The price is shown in US dollars, because PayPal does not take Sri Lankan rupees.
  3. Press "Continue to PayPal" and approve the payment on PayPal's page.
  4. Back in Sevo you see "Payment received. Your plan is active."

PayPal renews your plan automatically every month or year, so you do not need to pay by hand again.

Upgrades and cancelling

When you change plan, unused days of your current plan are added to the new period.

To stop, press "Cancel at period end". You keep full access until the end of the period you paid for, then the company is paused. Until then, "Keep my subscription" undoes it.

If you pay with PayPal, "Cancel at period end" also stops PayPal charging you, and undoing it starts the PayPal payments again. When you change plan, the old PayPal subscription is stopped, so you are never charged twice.

Invoices

Every invoice is listed under "Invoices" on the same screen with its status: Open, Paid or Void. "View invoice" opens it, and "Print" prints it or saves it as a PDF for your accountant.
