How it works
One person signs in to the till. After that, other cashiers take over by tapping their name and typing their PIN. They do not need to sign out and in again.
Each sale records who made it, and the discount limit follows the cashier who is active. The PIN is checked on the device, so switching also works offline.
Set a cashier's PIN (owners and administrators)
- In the back office, go to Settings → Users.
- On the person's row, click Till PIN.
- Type a New PIN of 4 to 6 digits and type it again in Repeat PIN. Obvious PINs such as 1234 or 1111 are refused.
- Save, and tell the person their PIN.
The till picks up new PINs the next time it refreshes its product list while online.
Switch cashier at the till
Tap Choose a different cashier if you picked the wrong name.
- Tap the cashier name in the top bar (the two small arrows beside it say it can be tapped), or open the till menu and tap Switch cashier. The menu also shows who is at the till now.
- Tap your name. The person already active is marked current.
- Type your PIN on the pad and tap the confirm button.
- The till confirms Cashier: your name. Carry on selling.
Wrong PINs
After five wrong PINs the pad locks for a short time and shows Too many attempts. Try again in … s. The wait gets longer after each further lock.
If the list says No cashier PINs set yet, nobody has a PIN; ask a manager to set them under Settings → Users.
